The PD M557P1 fuze is a selective Superquick or 0,05 second Delay impact fuze designed to fit spin-stabilised projectiles with 2 inches thread
The improvement of PD M557P1 fuze consists of the replacement of the old less safe Booster by the new Booster M125A1P1 that is exactly the same with the relevant one used in the PD M739 fuze
The fuze consists of a solid aluminum body including the head assembly, the interrupter assembly with setting sleeve, the M1 delay plunger, the delay arming module, the booster charge and the S & A device
The detonator included in the Delay Arming Module provides handling, setback and muzzle safety 35 to 126m depending on the type of the weapon |
