In continuation to the firing tests demonstration that HELLENIC DEFENCE SYSTEMS SA (EBO-PYRKAL) had recently performed in Jordan for the promotion of their own development 40mmX53 HV grenade, the company participated at SOFEX 2012, the International Defence Exhibition which took place in Amman from 8 to 10 May 2012.
With this participation HDS aimed to the penetration of the Jordanian defence market while simultaneously they covered the market of the neighbouring Lebanon in which in the past the company has executed exports.
For 2012, HDS applying a policy of extraversion, have already participated at the International defence exhibitions DEFEXPO (India) and SOFEX (Jordan) while have ensured their participation at EUROSATORY (Paris), AUSA (Washington DC) and DEFENSYS (Thessaloniki, Greece).
At the same time a big scale of firing tests demonstrations has been launched, for the company’s products and especially for the 40mm HV grenades particularly in the countries whose Armed Forces use the 40mm Grenade Machine Gun.
At SOFEX, the stand of HDS, located within the Greek National Pavilion which had been exceptionally, organized by the DEFENSYS team, was visited by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, the Turkish Undersecretary for defence industries Mr. A. Varoglu, official delegations from Oman, Qatar, Sudan, Uganda and Yemen and a numerous officers from Jordanian Armed and Air Forces, who were briefed for the company’s products and activities.
